The world’s largest selection of brakes for USA-built motorcycles including our USA-manufactured, sintered pad ranges and UK-made organic and semi-sintered Vee-pads plus a full range and selection of custom replacement brake rotors.
SOME CHANGES AND HOW TO UNDERSTAND THEM
There are a few changes in this year’s catalog where around 20 part numbers have been superceded to simplify our range as shown in the diagrams below, where the popular solid rotor FSD002 has been superceded by the FSD008. The only difference is that the 008 has a slightly larger “band width” for pad sweep, allowing it to be useable with all front Harley pads. The clue here is do not mix the 008 and 002 on the front of machines or there will be a slight cosmetic difference, otherwise they are the same. If you find yourself needing to swap one of these parts to match your inventory for a customer, call us and it will be there in 24 hours. Remember also to explain to customers the many benefits of a “Floating” rotor over solid; smooth, silky brakes and no warping. Most EBC rotors are full floaters.

Pads are simple; simply look up the machine and select the pad type that’s best for your customer. On rotors there are sometimes too many choices to list in columns so we use a group number in those cases and you simply take the group number, look at the illustrations and select the one you prefer; solid, floaters or oversize.

LIKE FITTING A
BRAKE BOOSTER ...
A range of 14” and 15” oversize, fully-floating front rotors with billet alloy relocation brackets, hardware and options of Vee profile or full circle and chrome or black chrome hubs now available for all big twins to improve brake response and stopping power by 25-30%. We recommend that if your customer is choosing a single oversize rotor you suggest the stronger and larger 15” units which feature 6.00mm (quarter inch) thick rotor blades for extra strength and that extra one inch in size.
UK-distilled DOT-5 silicone fluid. Remember the old warnings: glycol DOT3 or 4 fluids do NOT mix with silicones. Check owners manual before using
any fluid. As a rough guide most Harley models used Silicone between 1976
and 2005.
