What`s your day job?

I currently work in the express lube service at a dealership, working my way up to a technician.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

My employer has started sending me to school to help me get one step closer to becoming a technician.

What would be your dream car/ motorcycle?

I am very pleased with my Mitsubishi Evo X, but I’d love to have a Nissan Skyline R-34 GTR.

Did you always want to be a racer or something else?

If an opportunity were available to become a pro driver, I would not hesitate to take the position. You’d never have to work a single day in your life if you love what you do for a living.

Front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive or two wheels?

I am an all-wheel drive fan but I do love me some rear- wheel drive vehicles. I am a fan of drifting competitions.

What motorsport event would you most like to compete in?

I’d love to compete in Time Attack, autocross, track events and drifting.

What is the most insane/scary/memorable drive/ride you’ve ever had?

About four or so years ago, late night, I was cruising down the street with a buddy of mine to meet up with some friends. As I drove, my friend Sam asked:

“Has anyone ever tried to race you?”

“No. Now that I think of it, I’ve had this car for about a year and a half now, and I’ve never had someone try to race me. ” I replied.

Literally 10-15 seconds after I finished talking, I see super bright lights in my rear view mirror coming up toward me quick. A Nissan 240 pulled up next to me on my right and kept pacing me, trying to get me to race him. My friend and I looked at each other and could not believe what a huge coincidence this is turning out to be. I dropped it from 4th to 2nd gear and floored it. I won the race, as he turned off to another street, I came up to a red light. My friend and I looked at each other, laughed, and gave each other a fist bump.

How involved are you in testing and mechanical tweaking before events?

I’ve mainly been in the car show scene, featured in SEMA, multiple magazines and more. although, some events are in other states, therefore, I am making sure the car is inspected and good to go for the long trips.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

Married to the love of my life, a wonderful home and a successful career.

What is your go to playlist or song before an event to get in the zone?

I listen to a wide variety of music. It all depends on my mood, but at the moment, I’ve been jamming out to a song called Team by Krewella. Which also has a nice dance choreography done by Matt Steffanina.

If you could try any other motorsport which one would you choose?

I haven’t competed in any motorsport yet, but as mentioned before, I’d love to compete in Time Attack, autocross, track and even drifting.

What’s the fastest you’ve ever gone in a car or bike on track and when?

130 or so mph in my Evo X before I shut it down, but it wasn’t on the track. I don’t want to get in trouble with the law and potentially get a ticket.

What is your daily drive or ride?

I daily drive my 2011 Mitsubishi Evo X. It had four miles when I got it brand new, now with nearly 92,000 miles.

Who is your inspiration?

My lady, Mariel. We’ve been together for 10 years, and she keeps me whole.

What is the one thing you could not live without?

My lady, Mariel. She keeps me whole.

What is your favourite takeaway?

I am a huge burger fan.

Do you have a favourite movie?

I have too many favourite movies. Saving Private Ryan, The Fast and Furious series and more.

Any bad habits?

When I fail at something, I let it bother me and don’t let it go for a long time.

Tell us something about you that most people would not know?

I hate pickles, unless it’s fried.

Would you rather fight 1duck-sized horse or 1 horse-sized duck?

Is this a trick question? I thought it goes “Would you rather fight 100 duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck? If this is the case, I would rather fight one horse-sized duck, because seeing a real horse-sized duck, would actually be pretty awesome.
