Automotive Racers Hall of Fame – Alan Vaughan & Slingshot MT
Slingshot MT (Monster Truck) was built and owned by Karl Swallow who unfortunately passed away in 2011. The driving was taken over by his Nephew Alan Vaughan at just 18 years of age. The truck underwent major modifications during 2006/2007 when it was given a blown methanol engine which massively advanced the bhp and had JCB axels fitted, plus a Coan two-speed gear box. The new and improved Slingshot saw its first outing at Santa Pod Raceway in early 2007, when the team also returned to Monster Jam.
Slingshot MT is fitted with EBC Ultimax2 brake pads to handle it’s huge horse power and provide the best possible stopping power needed during events.
