- Fully floating 2-piece rotor that allows outer ring to expand freely in response to heat. This reduces stress which in turn extends rotor life and reduces the tendency for rotor cracking during extreme use.
- Drive bobbins machined from a single piece of stainless steel giving maximum strength and corrosion resistance. Stainless bobbins reduce the requirement for regular disc maintenance and ensures the outer ring continues to float freely even when used on the public road with corrosive salts and other road grime.
- Each bobbin assembly features an anti-rattle spring clip ensuring silent operation when driving on the public highway
- Rotor rings feature 48 directional internal curved vanes for improved rotor coolin
- Friction rings are cast from high carbon G3500 alloy giving excellent wear properties and improved thermal capacity. All EBC disc rings are cast using the ‘centre split’ casting method, ensuring a balanced casting that will not distort under high heat, an issue common with cheaper ‘moulded out’ castings.
- Unique Swept Groove slot design for effective evacuation of braking dust and gasses whilst ensuring good initial ‘bite’ on brake apply
- Replacement disc rings for EBC floating rotors are significantly less expensive than our major competitors.
EBC Brakes motorcycle and car racers now on Instagram!
EBC Brakes are pleased to announce our new Instagram account featuring our talented motorcycle, motocross and car racers. This year has been an outstanding racing season with most of the EBC sponsored motorcycle and car racers gaining excellent results in their classes and Championships.
EBC have had a helping hand in their results by supplying them with top class racing brake pads and discs. Motorcycle brakes such as EPFA Sintered Fast Street and Trackday brake pads, GPFAX Sintered Road Race Brake Pads, Floating X and XC series rotors have proved invaluable for roadracing and in particular on the track. For motocross racing, brakes such as MXS series Moto-X brake pads, Carbon X or TT brake pads, and Oversize MX disc rotors are superb in a range of conditions, be it wet or dry.
For car racing the range of brakes varies depending on the style of racing involved. Orangestuff full race brake pads are race only brake pads, Bluestuff Trackday brake pads are suitable for road and track, Yellowstuff brake pads are suitable for road/sport and road/track racing and a great all rounder. For rotors, GP Sports rotors and USR rotors are great for holding up against the heat of racing whilst being gentle on the brake pads.
EBC Brakes are also on various other social network sites including:

EPFA Sintered Fast Street and Trackday Pads
EBC Extreme Pro brake pads also known as EPFA brake pads are the racers choice for superbike racing and also have excellent street use too! These brake pads are fantastic for motorcycle racing as the compound they are made from has extra friction stabilizing additives that totally improve the ‘heat cycling’ braking effect.

The new GPFAX Formula Sintered Race pads are a direct replacement of the GPFA series. This new formula is even more higher in friction and created specifically to be used only on asphalt surfaces such as those found in race track conditions. Because of the super performance that they provide these brake pads are a growing favourite choice by superbike racers.
Another benefit of the new GPFAX sintered material is that it now has even better heat cycling ability allowing the brake pads to be raced, cooled then raced again.

EBC floating MC rotors or X & XC brake disc rotors as they are sometime known are ultra lightweight, best selling and best performance discs available for all modern racing sport bikes. The rotors feature the EBC Brakes unique and patented S-Drive button system that features square sided rivets captured in square drive pockets on the hub and rotor. These are in place allow the outer rotor blade to expand and contract freely under the heat of braking without suffering rivet lock.

EBC MXS series Moto-X race brake pads are a great choice for use in all weather conditions be it wet or dry as that found in motocross racing. This is because of their highest rated HH friction for maximum performance and stopping power. This double H formula also ensures these race specific brake pads have a long lifetime of use.

Also known as Carbon Enduro formula pads these brakes have the unique benefit of having lower heat transfer and generation, although they don’t have the same life span as that of a sintered copper brake pad.

EBC Brakes Oversize MX Disc Rotors are a fully floating with 280mm optimum diameter. Fully floating are perfect for motocross racing as the rotors resists warping better and handle heat loads more efficiently. They are British laser profiled and built with precision engineering and are lightweight with a contoured profile rotor blade that aids self cleaning outside profiled curves.
The rotor blade is Manufactured from German Mill Rolled Stainless steel rotor and the centre hub is decorated with EBC logo that looks great on any bike. Equipped with a six button stainless steel drive button system and comes with a billet aluminium relocation bracket designed and created by MX Expert Ted Devol in California.

New EBC Orangestuff Brake pads now have a longer wear life by up to 40-60% and a much more effective initial bite. Another advantage of these unique brake pads is that they offer better fade resistance on rotors even when the disc temperature are high and the discs glow red.

EBC Bluestuff Brake Pads are perfect for racing all sorts of cars and automotive sports in general as they are extremely high in friction and made from NDX forumla material that is specifically designed for aggressive driving conditions such as those found on hard surfaced race tracks. When twinned with specific quality aftermarket calipers Bluestuff brake pad NDX formula has the most efficient success rate.

Yellowstuff – 4000 “R” Series – Full Race Pad
EBC Yellowstuff brake pads are ultra high friction brake pads for race, trackday and street use. Race drivers in particular love it because they are made from an aramid fibre compound. This is ideal for street and track driving as they don’t require a warm up but get even stronger under hard driving.

EBC GD Series brake disc rotors are now in a new “thermic black” and NITROTHERM™ finish and feature wide aperture slots that draw cool air under the brake pad and rotor interface which help cool the temperature of the brake pad contact that can easily and often shoot up to well over 1000 degrees. During heavy braking and can cause brake fade or loss of brake effect so the cool effective use of the slots helps prevent this.

EBC Ultimax Slotted Brake Rotors are manufactured using premium disc blanks. These rotors benefit from quiet running which is all down to the narrower multi-slot design and the progressive angle at which the slots are machined. This has benefit of removing dirt, gas, water and debris and having the advantage of parallel pad wear.
