High friction formula improves brake effect 30%.

  • Fastest brake pads for Street, Drift & Race.
  • Zero brake fade makes this material perfect for fastest driving.
  • Capable of repeated heavy brake use without brake “Fall-Off”.
  • Very minimal disc/rotor damage characteristics.
  • Suitable for shorter track events and race use.
  • Medium hardness material feels good at pedal.
  • If all you need is stopping power, this is the material choice.
  • ECE R 90 type approved for most cars.
  • Features red “brake in’ surface coating for instant safe braking after install.

EBC Yellowstuff 1793 compound is a true winner all round, it has high friction from cold, not requiring warm up for street use yet when loaded up and really hot the brakes just get better. Even up to truck weights these pads grip and do not heat fade.

EBC yellows are ECE Brake safety tested which means they must work perfectly from cold at least as good or better than stock pads.

When Yellowstuff see some heat (which is not tested for in the ECE R 90 brake safety regulations) they really show their pedigree. On Japanese cars built with lower friction FF rated pads these deliver a full grade higher stopping and on German cars built with GG these are about the only aftermarket pads that will match or beat the pretty good German OE spec pads and that takes some doing.

A TRUE PERFORMANCE PAD THAT ALSO HAS A GOOD MANNER ON THE STREET

High efficiency performance and race brakes for track & street use, fast to bed-in, great for street vehicle brake upgrade.

Not only a high friction pad but very resistant to heat and loads of heavy braking means that yellowstuff has been used with great success in race cars and on high speed Police Vehicle brakes alike.

EBC Yellowstuff pads are used on the UK Silverstone Race Track Drivers experience cars because of their high performance and longevity. Yellowstuff also claimed a win in the Targa rally and for two years running in the Brazil Mitsubishi off Road Team Desert Challenge.

Because of its huge heat range, the applications where EBC Yellowstuff will deliver benefits range from fastest street use on higher horsepower cars and race use on most street based cars and even as a brake upgrade on Trucks and SUV. Yellowstuff is especially appreciated on Trucks for towing and heavy loads and where wheel and tire oversize upgrades have been fitted. In longer races EBC Bluestuff NDX or the new EBC Orangestuff grades should be considered (click here to visit Bluestuff NDX Information Pages. Click here to visit EBC Orangestuff pages).

Race drivers love it because…

EBC Yellowstuff is an aramid fibre based brake compound with high brake effect form cold and is possibly one of the first ever compounds that can be used for Street and tack driving. These pads do not require warm up but do get even stronger under the heat of hard driving. These are not a low dust pad and if your desire is for a low dust premium street use pad, you should consider EBC Redstuff.

When considering full race use, Yellowstuff has been a strong favourite, having been used for two years in the Swedish Camaro Cup and at numerous other race events where a stock caliper system is fitted. It is also the choice of 90% of the Mazda MX5 Miata competitors in the UK race series and has an unblemished record as rotor friendly track pad for vehicles up to 3500 lbs or 1600 kilos weight. The SCCA and NASA drivershave been testing Yellowstuff with feedback and good reports POURING in from a 543 test driver major market proving event with these groups. Read that figure again 543 test drivers. There is no guesswork here.

Now the majority of UK Police forces use and love this product. It has extended fleet miles and reduced their fleet operating costs and allowed Police Chase cars to drive harder and longer in blue light events. These Police forces have been using EBC Yellowstuff for almost three years now and not one force has had an issue that has caused them to stop buying, they just want more of this fantastic brake product.

  1. Chris Martin – Rally Driver

EBC Yellowstuff is the perfect choice for Rally Driving, strong powerful high friction brake that is easily controlled and lasts. Drivers report this material is lasting twice as long as competitive pads.

  2. Jeff Jones – Professional Drift Racer now using EBC Brakes

EBC Yellowstuff is also great for this type of sport, brakes are immediately there, no warm up needed making them an ideal choice for drift racing. Some drivers use Yellow pads in the rear to throw the back outwards on the drift. Whatever way, Yellow is powerful and predictable and it handles all the heat you can throw at it.

  3. Manny – BuyBrakes.Com

I just got back from 2 days instructing at Mid Ohio for Porsche Club. I had new EBC Yellowstuffs pads fr/rr, with EBC Sport rotors fr/rr. Braking was phenomenal, with no issues. My Advan Neova tires’ grip would go away before the brakes. The dusting is shockingly low for track use (compared with any Hawk product). The Yellowstuffs’ street performance are also quite good considering it’s a race compound(according to EBC).

The dusting is minimal with a very light dust coat after a week’s worth of combined highway/city driving. For the price, the EBCs cannot be beaten. If you do any track events I recommend the EBC Sport rotors (dimpled/slotted/zinc-coated). They’re not only attractive, but minimize pad glaze due to heat. Try to get the UK-versions of the front rotors, as the Brembo blanks EBC had used previously, while excellent warped after hard track use while the UK versions did not warp.

  4. At the start of the 2KCUP season we signed up EBC as a series sponsor, at the same time I also purchased a set of EBC Yellowstuff brake pads because I wasn’t willing to let anyone sponsor the series if I didn’t believe in their product. I am happy to announce that 11 hours of trackwork later (I did a 6 hour endurance race, the 2KCUP season, a couple of clubsport events and used it as an occasional daily) they still have 25-35% life left in them. I cannot recommend the EBC Yellowstuff product enough as comparable pads have only ever lasted 4-6 hours on the same circuit.

  5. I just wanted to say thank you for making such an awesome product. I love your brake pads. I have Redstuff on my Toyota Supra Turbo and my 2010 Cadillac CTS and just this weekend installed Yellowstuff on my wife’s H3 Hummer.

I previously installed the factory OEM pads on the H3 two weeks ago and they were garbage, did not bite, just horrible. Knowing that I love EBC brake pads on my other vehicles it was a no brainer, EBC is the only brake pad I will ever buy now. So I purchased Yellowstuff, and I’m so happy, as is my wife, they work amazing!! Awesome bite, and stopping power, Good job!! Keep up the good work!!

  6. I asked EBC Customer Services to recommend a pad for fast road work. The answer came back Yellowstuff I have three cars: Rover 45 1.6 K-series; Daimler Super V8 (4 litre supercharged) and a South African VW T3 Caravelle fitted with a 2.6 litre five pot Audi engine. None of them is slow – it’s easy to underestimate the little K-series fitted to the Rover. I have over forty years of commercial experience and like to ‘get on with it’..

I fitted the Rover about two years ago and have just put Yellowstuff on the other two cars. The braking is phenomenal. EBC recommend plain discs so the OE fitment will work. Very strong reliable braking from the highest speeds – the little Rover will GO! On the very coldest of mornings, you may find that a dab on the pedal is required to get some heat in the brakes. I always do a brake check anyway so that does the trick.

The Daimler weighs 1800kgs and has a top speed of 155mph. The front pads and discs needed replacing so I’ve fitted Yellowstuff and EBC plain discs. The rear brakes will get the treatment when the pads are renewed next year. If flexible hoses need replacing I fit braided metal which don’t expand.

The VW has a gross train weight of four tonnes (which would include a trailer). Serious braking is required to stop that lot! The front discs are only 280mm in diameter. I did a full upgrade including discs, Yellowstuff pads, braided hoses and remanufactured calipers. Wow! Only done a few miles, so still in the early stages of bedding-in, and already I can feel the potential power.

Of course, to get the full benefit of your new Yellowstuff pads your tyres must be correctly inflated and in good condition – just thought I’d remind you of that.

So whatever you drive, if you like to push on – even only occasionally – Yellowstuff will give you confidence in your braking from any speed.

Oh and one last thing: please remember to have your brake fluid checked for water content or change it anyway. Sorry to nag but if you’ve ever had your brake pedal go to the floor because the fluid has just boiled, you’ll know how frightening that is. Even the mighty Yellowstuff pads won’t save you then!
