New Automotive or Motorcycle Technical Advisor Careers Available at EBC Brakes

EBC Brakes are pleased to announce two new exciting positions now available at EBC Brakes Headquarters in Pineham, Northampton

With a worldwide workforce of over 400 people, EBC Brakes is an independently owned and managed leader in the braking aftermarket. EBC Brakes produce the largest range of brake pads and brake discs in the world, with over 25,000 part numbers for every type of moving vehicle.

Technical Advisor – Automotive

EBC have a number of new additions to our product range, including high performance braided brake lines, multi-piston lightweight brake calipers and high performance brake systems commonly known as Big Brake Kits. With EBC’s progressive business expansion and the recent addition of a number of new product lines we have the opportunity for a technical advisor to join our automotive technical team.
Working within the technical team you will support our customers and colleagues and assist with a varied range of technical enquiries. Knowledge of the parts aftermarket is useful, preferably in the automotive sector.
Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Resolving technical parts enquiries via telephone, email and internally
  2. Updating technical notes (including catalogues) and advising relevant department on any fitment changes
  3. Assisting in the development of new brake pad references, brake discs and the development and maintenance of several other automotive product lines
  4. Gathering feedback from EBC customers and using this knowledge to build an understanding of the company’s products in order to make experience driven recommendations
  5. Working closely with the R&D team to overcome technical challenges relating to new products
  6. Any other task as assigned by your line manager.
Knowledge and Skills:
  1. A knowledge of automotive parts and the industry
  2. Must be able to demonstrate a good level of automotive knowledge
  3. Confidence in using Microsoft Excel including; sorting, formulas (e.g. VLOOKUP) to analyse detailed data, training will be provided if necessary
  4. Ability to read simple engineering drawings is useful but training can be given
  5. Excellent communicator with a high level of customer services skills
  6. Self-motivated, and have a proactive approach to their work and the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  7. Organised, methodical and a keen eye for detail

Working Conditions

Your principal place of work will be at EBC Brakes World Headquarters, a brand new state of the art facility with modern offices and comfortable working conditions.

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

Hours of Work:
Ideally, Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 16.30 with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break and Friday 7.30- 15.30 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break, however, hours are negotiable.
