An aramid paper lined plate set complete with heavy duty clutch springs (for bikes fitted with diaphragm type springs we can now supply a heavy duty spring kit), the SRC kit is ideal for heavy sport bikes, faster riders and production based race use.

Advantages of the SRC aramid series are longer life, higher heat resistance, although this clutch has a more aggressive/faster take up than the CK cork series.

EBC Brakes Street Racer Clutch Set can be ordered from any stockist or purchased ONLINE in the UK at:

New EBC Clutch tools are available for most modern motorcycle and ATV clutch configurations and more are being added every month. The EBC tools can hold the basket or the plate hub to allow loosening or tightening of the retaining bolts minimising the risk of damage of the engine and clutch parts.

To select the correct part for your machine, select the clutch needed using this look up USA clutch catalogue or International clutch catalogue and select the tool from the list below:

ALWAYS USE AN EBC CLUTCH TOOL TO AVOID CLUTCH BASKET DAMAGE

  1. Hello, I have seen this listed on other sites and it states that this clutch kit can not be used with full synthetic oils. I came here looking for verification or clarification on this subject and found nothing. I am torn between the SRC and SRK packages for my 93 Ninja 600, it is modified and driven rather hard on the street, and I use full synthetic oil.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    • In answer to your question, no we do not recommend fully synthetic oils with our clutch kits because of the possibility it will cause the plates to slip.

      • Hows about posting the answer in here so others with the same question can read it instead of waiting for your technical department to repeat themselves. Something I am sure they don’t like to do.

  2. You cannot use synthetic oil in a wet clutch bike !!!!! It will slip for sure. I found out the hard way.

  3. I use AMSoil 10w-40 synthetic motorcycle oil wet clutch compatible, is that going to work with this kit???

    • Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding EBC Brakes clutch kits and which oil is the best to use in your bike with our EBC Street Racer Clutch Kit.

The following oils may be used, however they must NOT contain friction modifiers-

      Mineral based motorcycle oil
      Semi-Synthetic oil
      Fully Synthetic oil

Some oils contain friction modifiers such as zinc, molybdenum disulfide, and/or Teflon. These friction modifiers will often times cause the clutch to slip. Most synthetic oils are fine to use, just make sure you read the label and use what is recommended for your particular bike.

      Best Regards,
