Aaron Lali shows promise in his RP-X™-adorned Ford at Anglesey
The Mk6 Fiesta ST race car of Aaron Lali has been sporting EBC Brakes’ RP-X™ pads with USR discs (front), and Bluestuff pads with plain discs (rear) throughout the 2022 season of the MSVT Trackday Trophy series.
It’s been a year of thrills and spills for Lali so far, as we catch up with him after recently completing the third round of the championship which took place at North Wales’ scenic Anglesey Circuit.
Lali explains how the weekend went down in his own words below
“Round 3 of MSVT Trackday Trophy took us and 29 others to Anglesey Circuit/Trac Môn in Sunny North Wales! (I’m in just as much shock as you!)
“Fortunately, it’s a circuit I’ve driven before so I was well and truly prepared.
“Qualifying was going well, and times were being slashed until a couple of yellow flags were shown and a safety car was deployed till the end of the session. I managed to qualify 5th in class and 13th overall out of 30.
“Starting the race on row 7 with a good start (beating my fastest time from qualifying by lap 2) left me in an MX-5 sandwich for the majority of the race, until I made my mandatory pit stop, where I left the pits chasing a Class A Turismo X SEAT Supercopa who then ended up in the rear view mirror after a swift over and undertake between the SEAT and a Boreham Motorsport MX-5 on the exit of Church Corner.
“We took the chequered flag in P4 in class and P11 overall, which is the best finish so far this season!
“Now for a short break before round 4 which will be at Snetterton 2 July.”
