Greg Marshall is competing in the new series on an EBC-equipped Kawasaki ZX-4RR
Teenage bike racer, Greg Marshall of Team Marshall, has been competing in an all-new series within BSB in 2024: the British Superteen league, where riders aged 15-20 compete on the all-new Kawasaki ZX-4RR model.
Marshall has entrusted EBC Brakes’ GPFAX pads and X-Series discs on his superbike throughout the year, with promising results shown all season.
The roadshow recently wrapped up at Derbyshire’s Donington Park Circuit, where Marshall unfortunately took a tumble at the notorious Craner Curves, ending his season in unexpected fashion.
Read his report from the weekend in his team’s own words below.
“That’s a wrap for Greg’s 2024 season, huge thanks to the EBC team for the awesome stopping power this season!”
Donington Park BSB Round 8
“Not the way we wanted to end the season, making a return to the ‘Craner Club’ for the second year in a row.
“Practice went well; I finished P8 on scrubbed tyres from last round.
“Qualifying was going well, sitting in P3, but then I got pushed back to P4 so I went back out to put a fast lap in.
“Unfortunately, I didn’t make it past Craner, losing the front at 120mph. I got seen at the track and then blue-lighted straight to Resus at Queens Hospital in Nottingham in the ambulance.
“I had CT scans, X-rays, stitches and some more, but was back at the track by 11:30pm with a pizza, so huge thanks to the medical team at the track and at the hospital for getting me sorted so quickly.
“I picked up a few injuries, taking a little chunk out my hand, breaking a bone in my ankle and picking up a bad concussion, so now it’s time to rest and recover to get back out on a bike as soon as possible.
“There’ll be plenty of off-season practice over the next few months and Greg’s looking forward to getting out again next season at BSB in the Kawasaki Superteen class.”
GPFAX Pads
EBC’s GPFAX Sintered Race Brake Pads are for RACE ONLY use. This is a blend of brake pad that has higher friction and far better grip than any other brake product on the market.
X-Series Floating Discs
Since their introduction, EBC’s ultra-lightweight floating motorcycle rotors have become one of the worlds best selling lightest and best performing discs available for all modern sport bikes.
