Austin Phipps has a duo of Yellowstuff-adorned Audi drift vehicles
Arizona-based Austin Phipps of the Mulletsport race team is a professional drifter, currently using a modified 2012 Audi S4 with manual transmission and rear-wheel drive conversion in various drift series across the USA.
In his S4, Phipps uses EBC Brakes’ Yellowstuff pads on all four corners of his drift car, as well as GD Sport Rotors all-round.
Following recent success at the Modded Kulture competition, Phipps used the remainder of the season to focus on his side-project: his Audi A4 ‘drift taxi’ demo car, that offers up three passenger seats for hilarious passenger rides at various events.
Featuring only bolt-on upgrades, this car also runs the same braking setup as Phipps’ S4.

“I would like to first thank everyone for an amazing 2024 season. Without all of your support, this year simply wouldn’t have happened.
“This year started off with very unknown expectations, as the 3.0T was in the car but not working correctly. Suspension changes and shocks untested. When I felt I was coming off a letdown in late 2023, I wasn’t expecting to keep some of my support. When EBC stepped up very early this year, everything changed.
“Bringing FCP on board allowed me to build a dream demo car: a car featuring only bolt-on parts, highlighting it doesn’t take much to drift an Audi.”
“Taking three passengers per lap is an absolute joy. Seeing groups or friends and couples experiencing drifting for the first time together makes all the late nights worth it.
“I am so proud of my program. 2025 the plan is to drive the yellow demo car a lot! Make every event I can. The S4 will finally transition to a full competition-only car. I will be taking a lot of weight out of the S4 in the off-season. I’m chancing a championship series in California with eyes on Hotpit in 2026.
