The riders of GV Racing clinched more podiums at this searing hot event

The Yamaha GV Racing outfit currently supports seven motorcycle racers that are taking part in the FIM JuniorGP – the exciting series that spans Italy, Portgual and Spain.

Backed by Yamaha itself, as well as EBC Frenos (Spain), the team’s racers are proudly using EBC Brakes Racing’s GPFAX brake pads and X-Series floating discs for the season.

The latest round took the team to the scenic Autódromo Internacional Algarve, where racers in the STK ECH class continued to show promise, some of which are now leading the pack.

Read how it all panned out in the team’s own words below…

“The Yamaha GV Racing completed the fourth round of the FIM JuniorGP at the Autódromo Internacional Algarve in the STK ECH category with a bittersweet weekend.

“The Sweet Victory: Mario Mayor put in a stellar performance, finishing the race in an impressive second position. This result underlines the incredible ability and dedication of our driver, placing him in a prominent position in the championship. Additionally, Carter Brown, in his debut, showed his potential by finishing in seventeenth place, a promising start for the young talent.”

“Notable Performances: Joan Santos also performed well, finishing in ninth position, demonstrating the consistency and continued effort of our team. On the other hand, Daniel Brooks finished in nineteenth place, facing tough competition on the circuit.

“The Bitter Setback: However, the day was not without difficulties. Iker García, who had shown a formidable performance throughout the weekend, was unable to complete the race due to technical problems. This setback was a hard blow, leaving a bittersweet taste in what could have been a perfect weekend.”

Team Manager, Rafael Garcia:

“I am really proud of Mario’s outstanding performance, as well as Carter’s promising debut and the perseverance shown by Joan in the last race. These achievements are a clear testament to the work done and the dedication of our entire technical and pilot team.

“I am deeply sorry for the technical problems that affected Iker during the race. I am confident that he will overcome these challenges and come back stronger in the next competition.

“Furthermore, it is very motivating to see that Mario is tied in points with his teammate Lorenzo Dalla Porta, both leading the classification. This drives us to continue working hard and improve even more in the next races.

“Lorenzo Dalla Porta remains first in the general classification with 61 points, with Mario Mayor in second.”
