Every CK kit is matched and measured to give you a perfect stack height. Never try to fit individual plates is the EBC recommendation.

Drive case OIL is extremely important and riders should never use ATF (Automatic transmission fluid) which has been tried in the past to reduce oil drag and gain half a horsepower.

It does reduce drag and it does give you a tiny HP gain, but it ruins your clutch in minutes. Always use the bike manufacturers oil and fill to the right level. Another not so clever trick used to gain a tiny power increase is to reduce the oil level in the drivecase.

Oils must cool the clutch as well as lubricate it, never cut corners here and never put additives of any sort in drivecase oil, which cause plates to stick and glaze, invalidating your warranty and ruining your clutch.

EBC clutch tools are available for most modern motorcycle, ATV clutch configurations and more are being added every month. The EBC tools can hold the basket or the plate hub to allow loosening or tightening of the retaining bolts minimising the risk of damage of the engine and clutch parts.

When replacing your clutch on any ATV you have two options

This is to replace the friction plates only as a quick fix to get the bike going. This would involve buying the EBC Brakes CK series cork line clutch plates, click here for details. Even if selecting to replace just the friction plates we strongly recommend using new clutch springs as old springs get weak & tired over time, can cause clutch slip and even premature wear of the new plates you are about to install.

By far the best way to go and a world number one seller, the EBC Brakes DRC Dirt Racer Clutch Kit is a total rebuild option including all driven & lined plates and new springs to completely re-set your clutch to the all important original stack height when the bike was new. Click here for details of DRC Clutch Kits.

Either way, EBC Brakes appreciates your business and wishes you many miles of safe and happy ATV riding.

These are an important part of your clutch system, with the heat and constant cyclic use can become tired and weak. EBC Brakes produce extra strong clutch springs to prevent clutch slip and premature wear.

To select the correct part for your machine, select the clutch needed using this look up USA clutch catalog or International clutch catalog and select the tool from the list below:

I have been running the clutch in my stunt bike for some time now and can not be happier with its performance and durability. Amazing quality!

I have a fully modified R1 track bike and can not stand slipper clutches so when we installed this clutch I was very happy epecially since I was going through factory clutch kits every 4000 miles. My bike lays down 174whp.

    • Are you saying that the EBC clutch kit removes the slipper clutch?

      • In order to reply to your question we need to know a bit more about the bike you need to replace the clutch on please and what sort of clutch is already installed on there? If you could let me know I can get a technical reply for you off our MC tech, thanks!

  3. Are SAE 10w-30 oils safe to use on your wet clutch in an ATV application? There has been significant discussion about JASO approved oils VS SAE automotive oils. What’s your reccomendation?

    • SAE 10W-30 oil are fine to use with EBC Brakes clutch kits. We recommend using mineral based or semi-synthetic oils only as fully synthetic oils can cause the clutch to slip. Oils with friction enhancers should not be used with EBC clutch kits. Only oils specified for use in motorcycles should be used with our kits.

  4. bought the heavy duty clutch plates and springs for my ER-5 and wow what a difference, amazing, EBC you have a loyal customer for life
